So… you like America?
| — |
an open letter to people who hate obama more than they love america (via tripthruthewires) Why should anyone like the government? It is merely a monopoly of force. I love this country, but I hate my government. No man has the right to tell anyone else how to live, and that is exactly what our POTUS does. |
Terrorist Plots, Hatched by the F.B.I.
“The United States has been narrowly saved from lethal terrorist plots in recent years — or so it has seemed. A would-be suicide bomber was intercepted on his way to the Capitol; a scheme to bomb synagogues and shoot Stinger missiles at military aircraft was developed by men in Newburgh, N.Y.; and a fanciful idea to fly explosive-laden model planes into the Pentagon and the Capitol was hatched in Massachusetts.
But all these dramas were facilitated by the F.B.I., whose undercover agents and informers posed as terrorists offering a dummy missile, fake C-4 explosives, a disarmed suicide vest and rudimentary training. Suspects naïvely played their parts until they were arrested.
This is legal, but is it legitimate?”
You cannot expect government to solve the problems that it creates.
The Ideal Government
Exactly.
This picture kind of makes me wonder why some people feel the need to make others question their own faith. If they’re happy believing in God, why can’t you just let them be happy?
EDIT: I probably sounded like a bit of a hypocrite there, since ive sometimes spoken against some parts of religion because of the anti-gay stuff but i guess its like.. you can believe whatever you want, as long as you aren’t trying to encroach on someone else’s right to believe what they want.
.. am i making any sense? or am i just making things worse? i dunno. D:
There have been more acts of violence committed in the name of religion than under any other banner. It is a blight on humanity. The only true road to peace and prosperity is the completely free flow of people, goods, and ideas.

Capitalism.
No… this is stealing. Capitalism is when consenting individuals are allowed to freely make transactions. The only regulation the government should take part in is to restrict force and fraud.
Biblically and historically, the government was very uninvolved in marriage. I like that. I don’t know why we should register our marriage to the federal government. I think it’s a sacrament…
Matter of fact, I’d like to see all governments out of the marriage question. I don’t think it’s a state function, I think it’s a religious function.

Ron Paul
|
It is May 4th, 2012, and the ever so hopeful Republican candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have removed themselves as the inconsequential, yet shockingly persistent bumps in Mitt Romney’s path to the Republican presidential nomination. Ron Paul is still…
“It is because President Obama is the only man out of the options I have been given who is determined to help all Americans regardless of their race or socio-economic background. “
Ron Paul would like to end the war on drugs which disproportionately imprisons minorities. “Reevaluating” the war on drugs was one of Barack Obama’s many campaign promises that he has failed to deliver on.
Ron Paul would also like to end the war on terror which only serves to incite hatred of the US in the native inhabitants slaughtered… or I guess I mean the friends and family of our 100,000+ collateral damage count. Most of the brave young men and women we send overseas are lured by a sense of patriotism, camaraderie, or a free education. When in reality we are sending these poor kids off, pumping them full of speed, and telling them to accumulate as much bug splat (military jargon for civilians killed with drone strikes) as possible. Obama’s drones in Yemen are now authorized to kill without knowing who they are shooting at.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that supports civil liberty and the general peace and prosperity of all Americans.
