Homewrecker Blues
You are you, and he is he
both striving for morality.
What neither knows, and history shows
is peace is wed with honesty.
Now upon his toes I’ve stepped,
and under the rug your woes are swept.
Too short is life to fill with strife,
but in my heart your place I’ve kept.

I mean, this is the internet, so I expected it. But the reason in which they were justified is what got me. Here it is, a summary of what it said:
“The government banned psychedelics, not because they care, but because it opens our mind to the possibility that we could be wrong about everything.”
Should the government use the threat of violence and imprisonment to stop people from...

a hypothetical conversation with Ron Paul...
Paulinite: Ron Paul liberty freedom derp
Me: But what about gay marriage?
Paulinite: Ron Paul supports the freedom for people to marry whoever they want!
Me: But what about the Marriage Protection Act, which would have prevented federal challenges to DOMA? Or the We the People Act, which would have prevented federal courts, including the Supreme Court, to hear cases based on claims involving sexual orientation?
Paulinite: Ron Paul just wants government out of the equation and return marriage to the church where it belongs!
Me: Wouldn't that also revoke a plethora of rights associated with marriage? And what about non-religious people or people who religious groups refuse to marry?
Paulinite: Sssh, liberty
Me: but
Paulinite: shhh
Me:
Paulinite: Liberty
Me:
Paulinite: Ron Paul
Married couples, neither straight nor gay, should be entitled to anything that a single person can not get. Why should government encourage fornication? Humans are already great at that?
Also a church has every right to deny anything from anyone for any reason. That is what freedom is. Not freedom to force others to your will, rather freedom to have your own agenda. There are already homosexual preachers or other holy garbed gays, so I'm sure they would be more than willing to perform the personal and religious ritual.

I really feel that would fixed 99% of our problem.
So do you wish that there were a state religion? Do you think the country would be better if every citizen were forced to believe Jesus died for their sins? Religion doesn’t solve any problems. It perpetuates the laziness of those who decree all is included in god’s plan. It creates banners which we wear into...

– an open letter to people who hate obama more than they love america (via tripthruthewires)
Why should anyone like the government? It is merely a monopoly of force. I love this country, but I hate my government. No man has the right to tell anyone else how to live, and that is exactly what our POTUS...

Dictatorships often come under the guise of safety. They come in the dark, full of lies keeping the people from seeing what’s really going on. (Just look through history.)
“Like a thief in the night,” the Bible speaks of Christ’s Second Coming (1 Thess. 5:2; 2 Peter 3:10; Rev. 3:3) but also…

It’s a real shame that Ron Paul is pro-life and against marriage equality. Those are the pretty much the only things keeping me from ever voting for him. He won’t get the GOP nod anyway; he’s not popular enough. Kind of sad. His economic and foreign policies are awesome.
He is for marriage equality, and though he is personally pro-life he would allow the states to decide.

I feel kind of bad, but I’ve become one of those apathetic young people I always used to despise. I’m barely following the presidential election, and I frankly don’t care. Romney, has given up on having any backbone, and has completely forsaken any redeemable qualities. I don’t dislike Obama, but…

Obama could have made a political move today (I guess yesterday now, shut up, whatever). He could have been saying “I support gay marriage because the other guy certainly won’t and the people that DON’T support gay marriage and would vote solely to oppose it won’t be voting for me anyway, but I…
So it isn’t a political move because he always believed they should be able...

Political activists on Tumblr and Facebook criticizing Obama for not closing Gitmo and prolonging our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. have a point because the office of President and Commander-in-Chief is obviously only nuanced to the point where a college undergrad can fully grasp.
Am I missing the nuance that the only benefactors from this war are the contractors and...

If I am voting for Obama this term?
Everyone is freakin stupid if they think everything going on is his fault. You do realize that the congress has more power then he does right? lol And with what Bush left him with, you cannot fix that in a day! Some laws take years to pass! Freakin A I swear people who don’t know anything about this government shouldn’t be aloud to vote.
